From day one our group decided to push ourselves out of our comfort zone. Our aim was to learn as much as we can. To achieve this goal we assigned two members as PM’s (Ian and Dan). Our job was to focus on strategic goals and to support our group throughout the journey. We understood our role as servant leaders. That meant supporting all members with guidance and frameworks to access their full potential. In the following we will explain our working method: For our team development phase we chose to use the basic ideas of Scrum and Jira as a task management tool. To deal with our findings we chose design thinking methods. To keep on track we created a flexible, weekly schedule with milestones for the group to achieve. To keep the balance between guidance and servant leadership we tried to incorporate the group as much as possible. We chose voting, one-on-one conversations and surveys as our primary tools. You will find our survey results here as well. We struggled with time management during the first few weeks. Jira helped us to better structure and organize our daily meetings. This enabled us later to react swiftly and adapt to the changing demands of our professors. We learned how to navigate in an uncertain environment and still generate productive outcomes. We adapted to the remote situation and enjoyed the cooperation over 3 different time zones.
